Shielded vent panels for ventilation and HVAC
Honeycomb vents are used to shield openings for air ventilation and HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air conditioning) against undesirable electro-magnetic waves. The cell structures are made from aluminum.
The honeycomb vent panels are standard produced in a rigid aluminum frame, but the frame can optionally be produced in stainless steel, brass or nickel. The frame can either be pre-drilled, conducted with captive fasteners or with flow drilled thread holes all to your specifications.
If a very high shielding level is required, the use of cross-cell honeycombs is recommended. The cross cells are made from two pieces of 6.35 mm or 12,7mm thick honeycomb within a single frame. By using two layers of honeycomb material the shielding performance will improve dramatically at only a slight expense of increased air flow resistance. |

Frame Construction types
We can deliver our standard honeycombs with 4 different frame types (Please see the picture below). The frame type is depending on the thickness of the honeycomb material used and the amount of honeycomb layers used (Up to 4 layers in one frame is possible)

Standard Dimensions
The table below shows our standard dimensions, please specify your own dimensions when requesting a custom made honeycomb vent panel. The hole diameter P is standard 3.5mm but it can be delivered in any other size. Also available with screw apertures or inserts.

Ordering Information
All honeycomb vents are made according to customers specifications, so there are no standard part numbers.
When ordering honeycomb vents, the following information should be provided: frame style, dimensions, quantity and gasket material.
The standard material for gaskets is an Endless gasket 8100 series, thickness 2-4 mm, depending on outer dimensions.
