Magnetic shielding - Transformer shielding - Mu-Ferro plating
A new material (Mu-ferro 6800) has been developed for the shielding of low frequency magnetic fields, typically 50 - 60 Hz but also applicable between 10 Hz and 100 Khz. The material combines both permeability and saturation characteristics for perfect magnetic field shielding.
The material
Mu-Ferro is an alloy with a two-sided sendzimir layer of 275 gr. /m2 according to standard EN 10147:1992 . Then a "no-rinse" layer have been preprocessed on the sendzimir layer. The coating exist from nom. 45mμ high anti-corrosive primer and a top layer. Mu-Ferro has a tough thermally sink system, is firm of advancement and contains no hydrochlorate or air enclavements.

The danger of magnetic fields
Magnetic fields pose a serious threat to human health e.g. scientific research show that exposure to magnetic fields > 300nT, or 3 Gauss increase risk of cancer childhood leukaemia. Beside these negative health effects, strong magnetic fields also distrub or destroy electronics in the area of the field e.g. sensitive measures in laboratories require a low magnetic field (NANO labs).
Properties
Mu-Ferro can be applied in spaces or at equipment which provide a jamming (electro) - magnetic field, (for example (inside building) transformers).
